Directors & Staff


Andrew Mroch (Director)

Andrew Mroch is currently in his eleventh year of teaching, fifth as Director of Bands at Trigg County High School.  His primary responsibilities include directing the high school concert band, marching band, jazz band, pep band, and 6th grade (beginning) band, as well as teaching general music.  From 1999-2004 Mr. Mroch served Assistant Band Director at Trigg County High School and Band Director Trigg County Middle School.  During his time in Trigg County, the Middle and High School Bands have consistently earned distinguished ratings at KMEA Concert Festivals.  In addition, the TCHS Marching Band was a state finalist in 2000 and 2005.  Prior to his appointment at Trigg County Mr. Mroch spent the 1998-1998 school year teaching music K-12 and assisting with the High School Band in the Anderson County School system (Lawrenceburg, KY). 

Mr. Mroch is a graduate of Tell City High School (IN) and
went on to earn his Bachelor’s of Music Education degree (1997) and Rank II Certification (1999) from Western Kentucky University as well as Rank I Certification from Murray State University (2002).  While at Western, he participated in numerous ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Pep Band, and the Bowling Green-Western Symphony Orchestra.  Additionally, Mr. Mroch was a member of the Drum Corps International World Champion Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps (Bloomington, IN) from 1989-1993.  Mroch was honored as the KMEA First District Middle School Teacher of the Year (2002) and the KMEA
First District High School Teacher of the Year (2006 & 2008).
 

Mroch’s professional affiliations include the Kentucky Music Educators’ Association, Music Educators National Conference, the National Band Association, Percussive Arts Society, College Band Directors National Association and Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters’ Fraternity.  He is currently the President of the First District Kentucky Music Educators Association.

Mr. Mroch and his wife Kim, a history and government teacher at Christian County High School, reside in Cadiz.
