High School Scheduling:
Students who are interested in enrolling in
concert/marching band & jazz band classes for the
2008-2009 school year, while working towards honor
graduate status, need to look at this suggested
schedule of classes. This will aid in scheduling
students so that they graduate with the proper credits
while still being able to enroll in concert and jazz
band classes.

ACT/SAT Testing Dates Alert: If you're planning to participate in Marching Band or All-State
auditions in 2008-2009, and you also plan to take the
ACT or SAT test this fall, please consult this
Test Schedule and make every effort to plan your
tests around the band schedule.
GSA:
Sophomores and Juniors interested applying for the
Governors School for the Arts should download the
brochure/application. It is recommended that
students apply
online. Please read all instructions thoroughly
before sending any applications. The Kentucky Center
Governor’s School for the Arts provides hands-on arts
opportunities for the state’s talented high school
students who are dancers, actors, musicians, creative
writers, future architects or visual artists. GSA’s
primary components include a three-week summer residency
program, regional arts workshops and master classes,
College and Career day and an artist roster of
performing and visual artists made up of GSA alumni.
Utilizing distinguished professional and teaching
artists, students are immersed in a rigorous curriculum
and supportive learning environment that allows them to
explore the discipline and freedom of the creative
process.
